So, how much revenue is generated by clicking a link vs. how much goes to - say - HBO if you like their fare? And Lash hasn't answered yet. We have to add up the numbers, because one click isn't much, but many people clicking adds up. Same for the cable fees. Many people paying for basic cable that includes MSNBC, even if they don't watch it, adds up to a lot of money.

On the one hand, there is an argument for trying to avoid enriching the Progressives by blocking their products from your life. I do sympathize with the goal. On the other hand, by going all PURIST, you run the risk of appearing too fundamental. You know what I mean - it frightens people off. I'm prone to that myself Joe Dan.

I absolutey loathe MSNBC, but it is a treasure trove of what the Progressives are soon to promote. I'll give you an example: Up With Chris Hayes is an absolutely - fall off the chair, young Marxist type show! Lately, they keep bringing up their hatred of
THE WAR ON DRUGS. Yesterday, they called it THE WAR ON BLACK NEIGHBORHOODS.
Can you imagine what they would suggest to cash strapped states and their sympathetic President?

Basically, I'm thinking it is sure peculiar that MSNBC keeps bringing this up. I hope someone in the Conservative opposition is prepping a response, just incase this theme bubbles up to the surface. They talk of the prison industrial complex as some sort of Jim Crow type plot??? O.K. Throwing the jail doors open - releasing a predatory, substance abusing segment out to destabilize an already stressed out republic - that boys and girls is an old revolutionary plank. Old as the hills.
Release the cats amongst the pigeons. Destabilize, overburden and collapse.
Another theme: Boy that Constitution is an old, out of date document! This is scary. It's been suggested way too often. Conservatives have to get right in there, before this ploy takes hold. All the left media want is an AMEN CHORUS.
Providing backers of the left (like GE) comes from advertising revenue - like Joe Dan says - but most comes from mutual funds (union investment). It's complicated. Try to avoid TV, but don't fret over every penny. Stay engaged in what the culture is doing - engage with your own viewpoints - don't retreat!
BTW.........Who would have thought that Victoria Jackson (former SNL star) would have turned out to be so brave? Her persona is so goofy, but in reality her real life stance is both brave and patriotic! (There's a Communist in the White House) Her and Dennis Miller, who would have guessed? Good for them!
